As Spurn Point is one of my favourite places in the East Riding I welcomed the opportunity to enjoy a night there on 29/30 January 2011 as part of my challenge to sleep at the seven extreme points of Yorkshire. The Easternmost Point of Yorkshire is at the “elbow” of Spurn Point next to the hide seen below.

For those who have never visited Spurn Point I highly recommend it. I know of no other place in Yorkshire which has that “remote uninhabited island feel“. It is a true gem.
