Tyke’s Way

My first in a bivy bag in Yorkshire was on 30/31 October 2010 at Tyke’s Way, the Northernmost point of Yorkshire.

Tykes Way

Am I the first person to enter Yorkshire at its Northernmost point? Not that I recommend it. I walked across the River Tees at this point in my walking boots, once it got to chest height I ended up going for a swim! With only fifteen minutes before nightfall I had just enough time to wring my clothes out before getting into my bivy bag to warm up and bed down for the night.

Welcome To Yorkshire!
